This will just serve as a brief update for recent changes. I addressed some changes in our Christmas letter but there have been more changes since then - all for the good though. As pretty much everyone knows, Frankie took a new job with Regions bank in October after being laid off by his previous employer. God is always good though and the timing was perfect as his old job ended on a Friday and he was able to move right in to his new job the following Monday. Not a single day of lost pay!<br /><br />Christmas passed by in a flurry of activity and we did our best to absorb and enjoy every moment. I will try to get some pics posted from that soon. We just stayed so busy. We just have to look at it as we are blessed to be able to be so busy.<br /><br />We have braved the crazy weather patterns in the South to bring in our new year - temps in the 70's and tornadoes as we celebrated New Years (none in our immediate area -thank goodness) and the very next week school was cancelled for a day for snow and ice. Crazy!<br /><br />School has been back in session for a little over a week now and with it brought a new opportunity for me (Kristi). I was (unexpectedly) offered a job as the school nurse at the girls school! I had been doing a little subbing for the nurse there last semester and it just opened the right doors at the right time. But, we know who was in control of it and knew it all along. It is an amazing opportunity. I have the girls schedule during the school year and will have summers off with them as well. I am still getting my feet wet and getting settled in and frequently responding to the question, "Where's the real nurse?" LOL! I know they don't mean it that way - kind of funny though. I think I am going to enjoy it - got to get past my phobia of the lice though - UGH! That is all I dreamt about last night! I will be heading to get some shampoo for preventive self treatment ASAP. I will keep you posted - I am sure there will be many interesting stories to tell. The Jadzinski'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06776894225898248643noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-640450277364209194.post-44634034444748814172010-08-30T21:06:00.001-05:002010-08-31T13:10:17.369-05:00Dazzlin' Dawgettes!Football season is here and so are the Dazzlin' Dawgettes! Natalie participated in this elementary dance group last year and Alyson was old enough this year and was sooo excited to be able to join them. They dance before every home football game. Despite a very soggy night, the rain broke just long enough (literally) for the girls to get their dance in. Hope you enjoy some of the pictures! Maybe I can add a video in coming weeks.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNnaYd2j2z4b-9VkYQCVHe1v4RVf8R33By8QGYp8CnRC7ivEPUmoYQPLQkI908GIqfqvESj9jSHlHtzEAR56-fUlJVSJwKQViEPpTs-DmMnj16iNa1naY4D2UgRwX1pS05ug7wkr8Gj70/s1600/August+2010+078.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 134px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNnaYd2j2z4b-9VkYQCVHe1v4RVf8R33By8QGYp8CnRC7ivEPUmoYQPLQkI908GIqfqvESj9jSHlHtzEAR56-fUlJVSJwKQViEPpTs-DmMnj16iNa1naY4D2UgRwX1pS05ug7wkr8Gj70/s200/August+2010+078.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5511615284237332546" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4LbQ9BCFk5UEdS8puW6-TSxR3rbIwCX_1XcXqZRppex4ArLbHuLxVNrZe0bvviE740y1odDl6Dg88494Pe67daw4M9KGd7ntaSBjabBwlaNQQaWEul52lKnjhTh9Xq5tvJpoxNTi2gWw/s1600/August+2010+073.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 134px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4LbQ9BCFk5UEdS8puW6-TSxR3rbIwCX_1XcXqZRppex4ArLbHuLxVNrZe0bvviE740y1odDl6Dg88494Pe67daw4M9KGd7ntaSBjabBwlaNQQaWEul52lKnjhTh9Xq5tvJpoxNTi2gWw/s200/August+2010+073.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5511615298617522066" border="0" /></a>The Jadzinski'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06776894225898248643noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-640450277364209194.post-63242647774388939202010-06-14T16:49:00.003-05:002010-06-15T08:33:53.114-05:00Just for Dad ;)<div style="text-align: center;">So - my dad actually took the time today to send me an email to enlighten me that it has been exactly 1 year since I updated my blog. Being that he is not very techy and rarely sends me an email, I decided I would humor him with an update.<br /><br />Obviously there is no way that I could update you on all that has happened in the last year! The way I ramble that would <span style="font-style: italic;">take</span> a full year! But I can basically sum it up with the fact that we have been busy, busy, busy! The girls have finished their school year and are enjoying summer - it doesn't feel that we have slowed down much since school got out. We have already attended a softball and soccer day camp and VBS at our previous church in Columbus and are gearing up for VBS at our church here next week. Mix in a couple of softball tournaments and 3 extra kids for the summer and you get a feel for chaos we are in the midst of. I am not complaining though - we are loving it and having a ball and grateful that we are able to be this busy!<br /><br />I was trying to upload some recent pictures but it won't let me right now. I will try again later - and sooner than a year ;)<br /></div>The Jadzinski'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06776894225898248643noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-640450277364209194.post-50139258773257033442009-06-14T20:13:00.004-05:002009-06-14T21:43:01.248-05:00<div align="center">OK - So I know I am waaaaaay past due for an update. <em>Some </em>of you have asked how long you are going to have to look at my sewing machine! Sorry - I am a little excited about! Not really (although I have really enjoyed it and business is picking up - YAY!). Life has just been incredibly busy the last couple of months. During school, I was working more hours at the hospital, both girls have been playing softball and we have thrown VBS (in Columbus), camp and a couple of days working in Columbus in there as well. I think (I hope) things are about to slow down just a bit so we can enjoy what we have left of summer. It goes by so quickly. School starts back August 7th - both girls will be attending this year. Natalie in 4th grade and Alyson in kindergarten.</div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center">I obviously can't catch you up in detail on all we have been doing the last couple of months but I have posted a lot of pictures with some brief descriptions to at least catch you up to where we are. They say "If you get it, they will come" (or something like that) don't they? So maybe now that I have the machine I want, the business will come ;). Let's hope (or I am going to have a lot of explaining to do). Anyone who knows me very well knows that I have had my eye on this machine for quite a while. Well, after a good offer on it and a little arm twisting at home, it is mine - and I am so excited. It is a Baby Lock BMP8 - it has 6 needles on it. I got it Thursday and have already christened it well by monogramming 60 visors for the girls softball league. There was definitely a learning curve there that included a couple of desperate phone calls to Brian, but I got them done. Although business has been kind of slow, I have confidence that it will pick up. I have several people plugging my business for me whenever they get the chance and graduation is coming up soon which always increases the business a little bit. After all, it took 2 years of doing it in Columbus to get me built up to staying really busy. Regardless, I am ready for the challanges ahead of me now! For perspective, you can see part of my regular sewing machine sitting just to the left - that is the one I have been doing embroidery on until now (and I can still use it for that as well). </div>The Jadzinski'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06776894225898248643noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-640450277364209194.post-21011266268780692192009-04-14T09:22:00.003-05:002009-04-14T09:35:54.814-05:00MVP (or something like that)<div align="center"> Last night the girls had their first softball game - in the pouring rain. Well, Alyson's team played in the pouring rain. They did cancel Natalie's because it started lightening. I had to work last night so I was only able to catch a few minutes of the game before leaving and unfortunately, didn't get to see Alyson do anything. She was next to bat when the batter before her struck out and ended the inning just before I left. Well, the action all happened after I left (I wasn't even a mile down the road). Alyson had just gone in to the field (shortstop position) for the first time in the game and the batter hit a pop fly - to Alyson. SHE CAUGHT IT!!! Unfortunately, it missed her glove and she caught it with her arm (but she didn't drop it!). The crowd reportedly went crazy and I think she was stunned for a moment. Then reality set it. That was the end of the game for her last night. She was the hero of the night though. Everyone bragged on her everywhere she went after that.</div><div align="center"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5324552426353367378" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvU2Yp-xiBkTgrCHCcx-KeyRSGj99LaaS3SCkC-eMf18zjPGBROLMlwUTiBz3oGgtcXuIxbKgijQID_LuW3VL6uOHD0dF6z3psLIkd-wlg62d8uy_2R4TXJzaex_Tk6HEVuZ-T5zjFut4/s400/April+2009.jpg" /></div><p align="center">Not the greatest picture (it was a moving target) but you can see the battle scar - a nice strawberry with faint lace marks. It was busy and crazy but it was great. Lots of firsts again this year for our family~the biggest change was our non-involvement in the Living Pictures (LP) presentation at our 'home' church in Columbus. With the exception of the year my mother died, this is the first year since its inception (20+ years ago) that I have not been involved. Frankie jumped on board as soon as we started dating and he started going to Fairview and Natalie has been in it as well the past few years. LP requires much time and commitment, especially the week prior to Easter, but always well worth it. Despite it being an incredibly crazy week, it is a constant reminder of the sacrifice that was made and the precious<span style="font-size:+0;"></span> gift we receive. We did get to attend and watch LP from 'the outside' this year for the first time. It was excellent. Kudos to all involved - so neat to see how it all comes together so well.</div><div align="center"><div><div><div><div>This year, we found ourselves with a <em>little</em> more free time than in past years but we managed to find plenty to do to fill the time. Saturday dawned a little cool but absolutely gorgeous - a perfect day for our church (in Meridian) Easter Egg hunt at a neighbors house.<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5324540048078362514" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmzY8wa8qI0VormC82l-oKJRDqu7QrbZAFKsFR39iwgojCLT28Q4fqhIMxG6bwBxY6YA_eKskr006KhktwYu8CvKASsm_P4-3jJDaA8RWLWozC1QyfTYDKCtEcx9zVRdB-uywJhpebQyg/s400/April+2009+057.jpg" /> All the kids had a great time and walked away with goodies and candy. <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5324540054263739618" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9fdUukHkDQm0Yu1mO2GtS_gQ_eEp8dKpaRbncPrvImoQTMIFXfluOe8eewulQVqjte9XeqfTR4MonN3D3yGncXpur9fld26ehOS4TXcfMg3y_PPHNnvdmOnwFCPjl8Ecf1u-ITaa34zQ/s400/April+2009+069.jpg" /></div><div>We took a little while Saturday afternoon to dye our Easter Eggs before <span style="font-size:+0;"></span>heading out to get a bite to eat.<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5324540057942480642" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2Oq5wwyfLZX2uEpwDb0VBdRGV2EfRBYc-QI3z37vtCf0kBKiXnMAFv9-zUiTWrLO4LRQ-cqc3dnSrt976_3_pCoLXhPLXf5QMXHjnqSxdLTwtMXWXDGlUDGdcTC63PkRQM0D_cZkOS8I/s400/April+2009+089.jpg" /></div><div>Sunday morning dawned clear, sunny and beautiful -how fitting. We had a blast! Here are a few pictures from the day.</div><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5321028008216327234" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiI78x4C7ElXuivIemPvaW0WHvLRYlsQ2TtJUYuYHWKt6-4D91pixvG7RSFbHYWdvS6F40UJ-XWWJdLQz62sKnD3poUu-ngW_fqezv-WUZ2lVh0iDPClyMxzhIn1Pv12n3IxTvslnZ6jl4/s400/April+2009+009.jpg" border="0" /></div><div>Alyson's first request of the day was to see a zebra. We managed to find one pretty quickly which freed us up to do a little more leisurely exploring (not that we were in much of a hurry to start with). We managed to find a few more interesting creatures along the way. I really think she was most excited about the fact that she could just let loose and run!<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5321028013935829346" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUtMS7_mK2XtsNjQKMkD37H_AmjFc7tK-nzXALyBkXWIjcxRTJBOqWj4xuCiswlLHKxVOh-3HQswg8qHaryPcunBlCWLKgBtQ2pFoSqR3-CTlSyNA_mHzsqrgggz872JzBpZmQJZQ2Dhw/s400/April+2009+006.jpg" border="0" /></div><br /><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5321028017249708930" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiR5IwA7jgPLEoltK7bfDgRKnrPg499JaPayC1ppxsrSl9ixMdMR2hSEpwWQvJQx0e7crYO0-9mtJmhyphenhyphenT-wp8qfq9c1k1bjvIbiJ2PKQjoScf6ALiJj8OBAd64Gh3kNtcWnOejJzy-VYPE/s400/April+2009+012.jpg" border="0" /></div><div>Shortly after arriving we attended a brief educational program where the kids were shown and taught about various reptiles including a turtle, a gecko, a snake and an alligator. Aly jumped at the chance.</div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFkg8FOMZrcykifqLG-ER7ab7w8akhTefwLqklTKtBAr1PgGIYTaCNK0PkEwJ-CVuh-0uX6twgtg-C582MPZO7ymaklCj6uFGaU6JBD8imDtCArXTn79k163tR3YKSS3q1vIJl41rQjAc/s1600-h/April+2009+026.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5321028024498385698" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFkg8FOMZrcykifqLG-ER7ab7w8akhTefwLqklTKtBAr1PgGIYTaCNK0PkEwJ-CVuh-0uX6twgtg-C582MPZO7ymaklCj6uFGaU6JBD8imDtCArXTn79k163tR3YKSS3q1vIJl41rQjAc/s400/April+2009+026.jpg" border="0" /></a> Aly made sure to use only 2 fingers and stroke the animals in a downward motion, as instructed. <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5321037667188990290" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmn6R0XBtMe7pdNZKECboCao_54TzrDoxBu_7AL0IvfmJD1fivVa6dca_jb9wCQYKlTboQRqLLED9ChZ4y3_mZM5ERoZCdYr6gNtg5-7caWm-KKOE8Mjc8I6-uF-zqTrHRw-9a_9yX7UE/s400/April+2009+025.jpg" border="0" /></div></div></div><br /></div><p align="center">I think our favorite exhibit of the day was the Lorikeet Aviary. So much so that we visited a second time later in the day. You could purchase a small cup of nectar and carry it in with you (you can see the small cup in Alyson's hands) and you can see the results. They were so much fun. You could barely get through the door before they were all over you. They were very gentle and when they finished the nectar, they were on their way again looking for the next visitor.</p><p align="center"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5321035046423167906" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEil65TrJe1MFlB-MDPKtOQ57EcMIMegxuwmU9wFYAbtrOef_Uu5az1-9hfkWaYfnPMOaTeGDy54P1lAq7v1gcwM-LK3_1WpsdIGW6H-MyEObcoSTcGQCdEz9y1KGrkoqOAmhBRQfXk_kxw/s400/April+2009+027.jpg" border="0" /></p><p align="center">Yes, that is a Lorikeet sitting on Alyson's head.</p><p align="center"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5321035048176814610" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivNtUy5U51_ZjOU7nDw3KvJHWuCW85CJBD6iMtG4CoYkTnew6RcWPuHl2o_Q6G9lFAu5lZhnDFMJRTY0-0_nhB_FtapnxFAwm6_OCaGh6EmuYHqT2Lmp2fTglC18v-_dSJvAKnYbeUr4s/s400/April+2009+028.jpg" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5321035055028538626" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-9cGlRPKHuSs81NPOvAn6rS7R0-UCAkIsIpqXAxRhlXE_1tHcyhyRMeKeU6PJtDSri3MafVdQ1-X17eGlOa6psTWcc6OASC5FL_8Bc9iYKehdL-yMz51G13YbozO7QIAhLoTzgtK-xEs/s400/April+2009+033.jpg" border="0" /></p><p align="center">The worker said they were also very facisnated by the screens on digital cameras. It consisted of PreK thru 3rd grade. Please do not be offended for not being invited. Space was a serious issue and there was barely standing room only for those that were there. I am sure I still have someone's knee print remaining in my back - it was very close quarters. The theme was "Under the Big Top". The teachers and students did a wonderful job and had the gym set up like a 3 ring circus. Each grade had their moment in the spot light. Most of the pictures I took turned out pretty dark but here is a video of Natalie's class- she is just to the right of the middle. She is wearing khaki shorts and holding a purple streamer (though it is hard to see). They are singing "God Bless the USA". You can see her better towards the end of the video.</p><p align="center"><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dzSLpi_sGHolS9luqEAknGRsTK_eQfU7tz_BD_O587NSwD_Imnp-fHv2d60Kz-rExZIHLSBzOqx_qJcAzg-Mw' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe></p>The Jadzinski'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06776894225898248643noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-640450277364209194.post-17383557348894706932009-03-23T21:30:00.002-05:002009-03-23T21:39:16.276-05:00Spring Break?<div align="center">"Break " has to be a misnomer. At least for our family . I think this was the busiest spring break I have had in years. We managed to cram in a visit to Brandon, 3 dentist appts, 2 haircuts, a visit to Starkville (Check out Judy Lynn's blog), a visit to Columbus that included a fishing trip, a family cookout, cleaning out a storage unit and just visiting with family and friends in general. I had to take an extra day off work just to recover from my week off! But please don't tell my boss ;). We seriously did all of the above and then some but it was a very rewarding week. Read below for some of the highlights of the week.</div>The Jadzinski'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06776894225898248643noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-640450277364209194.post-86632714178581362242009-03-23T21:26:00.002-05:002009-03-23T21:30:57.077-05:00St. Patrick's Day<div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQm5GpeKMfjJ0GfYSR5J0uYQ8d4U5P5FP_s-bylFsC_ItbCS5BM2AoWD8-SroqvWwDzKY-KunnwZMCcYAZoJhnh3Zdy2oCTWXEu1eKBOn_DC35SjgCJAQBxrQX4XpKhsApS2Q4OhvggA4/s1600-h/100_3851.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5316575359897561442" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQm5GpeKMfjJ0GfYSR5J0uYQ8d4U5P5FP_s-bylFsC_ItbCS5BM2AoWD8-SroqvWwDzKY-KunnwZMCcYAZoJhnh3Zdy2oCTWXEu1eKBOn_DC35SjgCJAQBxrQX4XpKhsApS2Q4OhvggA4/s400/100_3851.JPG" border="0" /></a> Tuesday, the girls and I headed to Brandon to spend some time with Suzan and Gracie and do some much needed shopping for Natalie. Kerri suggested this for lunch one day for the kids and I honestly thought she had lost her mind. I am not a huge hotdog fan but this is a pretty ingenious idea! You simply slice a hotdog 2/3 of the way up into 8 strings and boil until done. The result~an octopus! Too cute!<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5316573959942156514" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8Qpdlggq2in-IeVUxieefMFsv6J2nVPzGbB1Us6WfQwyY4Mr0mcAKkYTqK3HRfoUUfE04CKzzyJjKn55ju2CRLyKPW5gHbDRxVa-yuNXBDAEYRb6N2mKNruDjLAxTwjwAYx-i68GrLtE/s400/IMG_5455.JPG" border="0" /></div>The Jadzinski'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06776894225898248643noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-640450277364209194.post-30843170811833925792009-03-23T19:15:00.004-05:002009-03-23T21:19:18.265-05:00Family Fishing Trip<div align="center"><div><div><div><div><div><div><div>Friday was a milestone day for all 4 grandkids. They got to go fishing for the first time! Paw-paw took all 4 of them (with Kerri, Debbie and I in tow) to a private lake where we could fish from a pier. Mind you, it was a little crowded - 8 people (4 under the age of 10) on a 10 x 10' (approx) pier with no rails. Certainly a recipe for potential disaster but we somehow managed to avoid it. Poor Debbie ran her legs off between trying to keep kids from the edge and taking pictures. She earned a gold star that day. We considered the day a success as everyone stayed dry and all 4 grandkids caught a fish.</div><div> </div><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5316561295912118786" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGP4xiVzZi3cIs5WPML1F7NI6Vht8gs6BE0DTC-dA2rY5uQwKLwxa1uNDPnrXxAeLucxraGU6hcsbqbos_Oa4upkZSz_AOm66_M7cfcNCE4A6TsQM79YGBpgtMDvEadFJcT5vx3vGFqaA/s400/100_3859.JPG" border="0" /></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><br /></div><p align="center">Paw-paw giving the girls a little instruction on how to cast before heading to the lake.<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5316561303325225266" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeQT_OpjIltXi1L56ZuYMO_pZa20G6nFBn4cgrbdR5mLcpOp-7wWm29ksarJluFZQrim1F27ri64utSBTV5VJ9cNgcWSHBCBl1jnvEBvGeIQ8rYNQgbJtogPHSQrbjNBlFik996AWEJzU/s400/IMG_5458.JPG" border="0" /></p><p align="center">The grandkids</p><p align="center"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5316561310647245138" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEja7eawBOiQcHeLHQWI2Wu0Megu9C0XrJzmIp7TwCav5rp57wiXyzISBA58SVoCm9HzI1aZSzzuY_R-CzhU_xo_C7WE-3417hSzRpXvTcGSVXwYDttpW5hWQVC4P_L054NWOObMtTVSPbo/s400/IMG_5472.JPG" border="0" /></p><p align="center">Harrison caught the first fish of the day!<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5316561317572636914" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisMCDgpkNbTSnXRVPtQYvt0XIaKVmymuNoxznhM2imfLLKcIipona3T00jyJ6h5KJMrDjS00mdv-s1mYjB1mqeOtvu3fov6eUJl9vfxDJtDOeqC8W1kb2Z3FUo-fJFfKmbPRKoacjOX5M/s400/100_3875.JPG" border="0" />Natalie was next<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5316561322841171458" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYIPS_GMCoZavyR0Qkos2H2bzoN6mbpalWGFTNHgBIQzKe-3Cwl09s1p6D4_SF0axhWbcBCqq7lSYhMtDNdDPC3Bm-6WpD-vnNITw_rd-jA3NfD5fqtaIIcZM3bZsi4EBKN_oy6mZE-oc/s400/100_3877.JPG" border="0" />Natalie with her first catch<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5316563203109749090" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUqLOD1K14iw8E78lJDckMLiCWu9es86Pt7muSzcCC9uI0lW5ySxEV9w1UXORmx9aY_-m-V4xtu2gFh9_XzhGD6kjsj64ClzEcsQtpoPSpFkNxwdZeoC_KfUQPgwKHk_Xgwp__UfUvoVw/s400/100_3669.JPG" border="0" />Alyson's reaction when she realized that there was really a fish on the end of the line.<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5316563211182040418" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNEhpvb5HpbK3WUZ0xBIUVTkHFLn3kCCPYsoIdbcr0tTjaOd4aGx9DIGvqUjS0j6fNMokkpgVdteO_DyzDxN0Y0uTB96teE8CK3V-yqF5rtDFH5CWJtdDmVOxkkil2WvGlbLbnhQfXzwk/s400/100_3675.JPG" border="0" />This is as close as I could get Alyson to her first catch.<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5316563225182440066" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieF5ybRISd91e6T9vOzrty_pSSz8GIffHehSonAgRXqZpfG5SPq1FiJM4FYAMJO-B_WSEF48zkbi97V245ZTuyFthNWQ-QrGN4noh-I9glUV_q8BKtxdSlzq1xC0WXO7-OyFvItgbQGGw/s400/100_3717.JPG" border="0" />Finally, after much patience, Hailey had her catch. They consist of 2 year olds through kindergarten and you definitely get a taste of it all when they sing in church. We had everything from a bellydancer to a runaway and there were a few in there that actually sang. Alyson is on the top row on the left of your screen with a white headband. Despite a stuffy nose and a case of laryngitis, she sang her little heart out. Hope you enjoy!</p><p align="center"><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dz359NZsCDttrCzi19LDqY1WuoNmRwGOus0IyorkF3brOeqThkioFevQdZmBAhZ3syeSMC9b5ihB0kUYCN9NA' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe></p>The Jadzinski'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06776894225898248643noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-640450277364209194.post-65489258670143233622009-03-01T21:19:00.003-06:002009-03-02T17:28:20.496-06:00SNOW!!!<div align="center">After more than one missed forecast for snow, followed by disappointment, they finally got it right. Natalie woke us up bright and early this morning to let us know it had snowed. Although the accummulation was minimal, it sure was pretty. <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5308427292265213266" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPoBpoflrgIB9bGvgIcu8ef1uyBKCBibSoDOiGZSfC_0p8VQRM8XfA9RY5ekCuQynf5vghV3YDMimu_o93_kg5ojbT3ucrI1PH8-u6AYUMcH51dcwDW6XdVfzgC8qW-fneBdrH9R0owg4/s400/March+2009+005.jpg" border="0" /> I guess March is the magic month around here. There was a significant snow here this time last year. Of course, we weren't here to enjoy it and it totally missed Columbus.</div><div align="center"></div><div align="center">Call me a bad mom, but the girls were having a fit to get out in the snow to play (we were very short on time because we had to get ready for church) so we bundled up the best we could with what was in reach - robes and crocs (with socks).</div><div align="center"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5308427276762383362" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNekDRYQXDC8O3YwLyogqzhCf6Ss8PGtz8O8ZzzarNucUrYFBV5-MdouqinfWSXqKhmWbY02yCIfDcAvmt2ROysF2p4QPxaYo7rGXNbuITVVaoEP2mHx7TX8Z59_k6RZtOac7f1-YmAWQ/s400/March+2009+007.jpg" border="0" /></div><div align="center">The girls enjoyed playing with the snow, eating it and even managed to get in a brief snowball fight.<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5308427298200399074" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEim9uEd0YGJ2tiit7bz6OEZDhx9l-Z5Vu8JCq69ireJGOvfdOS0vE4TKBpk6f_LYes5NhZQSzbHiAuFYPk3LYsCvomJ0aVasY2A11_GTHQ-T5yE5yKsGvG4GaPsBm8rk6Skt9NalL4yQws/s400/March+2009+009.jpg" border="0" /> After they finished playing, they 'offered' to clean off my van :).<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5308427302042308434" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjxL25s4izJ1u7aJqUYQlKyCtS64SjX2tZZVody3GkQBR8a1qpP_ker97CZQPF6N_JlXj2dYBjM-JLfug-hyCmtBDFeKqnCmmypKwirtZWKzFtGS_824Q2AdrLhaQfPH__rDcc5QK1W1Y/s400/March+2009+011.jpg" border="0" /></div><div align="center">They were a little disappointed that there was no snow left </div><div align="center">to play in when we got home from church. As luck would have it-the machine was backordered. Alyson has anxiously, but patiently waited for her gift to arrive. Friday, when she got home from school (which is going very well), she had a package waiting on her. Excited is an understatement. We spent the next couple of hours undoing all the tape, twisty ties and straps that were holding the machine captive. We did manage to get it set up and run a few test seams to let her get the feel of it before bedtime. She seemed to really enjoy it and anxiously began to plan her first project. <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5308056537558119650" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibZtOTyklT_Jp_8yL16Ap2xuIqfainT2swvxPdRutL94RaSMEh_thWCLuJnch9iKR7-FcY3pORGO1Xcj823hapw-wcCUD5Ei-M7_f4y_EUDez6q5UVU41GKS-fl16Rwy6VdLznMbn3S2E/s400/February+2009+011.jpg" border="0" /> She had a birthday party to attend today and she was insistent that she was going to make something for her friend~and she did. <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5308056547417861666" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQOfKNnzjUO3xy2_2YDjnBYh7BDkAAeMhNcxjsiSW9pzKREgrrI1a80zd2eiyQZh6t4WLDrK6SoFRBRog01XuhJGjH1ahw2SkycYJbvJHlf_B46VRGt-ZQ8izT8YDb_j1xUyYZH3bGjM0/s400/February+2009+012.jpg" border="0" /> She made her a sash/belt and even attached a little heart to it. <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5308056553645386322" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhp5wUwOQxz7o02-flyisOYeWjDO9mzS9j814jkZ2m68_RCW5lkEkuuPBeIp4dc2Ug7DCqabtJtykMH-niKugGZOwRRCM2RKWeoD9A-knWTrKl5kRLt66TzaXh6SnGxa2DZNNCUSneP7wU/s400/February+2009+013.jpg" border="0" />She was quite proud of herself and so was I. </div><div align="center">I guess the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree.</div>The Jadzinski'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06776894225898248643noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-640450277364209194.post-66011080468490975562009-02-23T21:41:00.002-06:002009-02-23T21:54:15.211-06:00School Girl!<div align="center"> Today was Alyson's first day at her new school and from all accounts she had a great day. She was all smiles when I left her and picked her up. She made several new friends, including one named Natalie :) and got a green light today. HI HO! It's Off to Work I Go.....<div align="center">Well, it's back to the grind! Can you feel my enthusiasm? Nah, it's not really that bad. </div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center">I am sure that you have already figured it out, but I am going back to work. Just part time though. I have taken a job at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center here in Meridian working on the OB unit. As much as I have enjoyed the flexibility of being home, I think we will all benefit from this. Alyson enjoys being home but she gets so bored. She will be starting in a Pre-K program next week and she is so excited about it. We visited the school this week and we were very impressed. Natalie's schedule won't change much. Instead of me picking her up, she will go home with a neighbor. Once my orientation is over, I hope to work my schedule so that I am only working a couple of partial shifts in the evenings and one weekend a month so I can still do things with the girls and we can still have plenty of family time. Maybe wishful thinking, but my supervisor at the hospital seems to think we can work it out. I still hope to do my monogramming and hopefully continue to build that business.</div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center">I can't promise you that I will keep the blog current in the next few weeks since I will be working full time during orientation but I will update you when I have a chance.</div>The Jadzinski'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06776894225898248643noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-640450277364209194.post-38679600940786896712009-02-17T22:28:00.006-06:002009-02-17T22:55:39.224-06:00One Tough Cookie!<div align="center"> Today had many makings of a not so great day when we started out. On the agenda - a yucky, cold and rainy day, a visit to Alyson's new pre-K school she will be starting soon (more later on that), a Wal-Mart trip (ugh!) and a visit to the pediatrician with Alyson for a check up and SHOTS!</div><br /><div align="center">Alyson was aware she was going to the doctor but I was waiting until just the right moment (and the last minute) to tell her she was going to get shots. I was anticipating the worst - it took 4 of us to hold Natalie down when she got hers. Those of you who really know Alyson will appreciate the humor in the next comment. Once in the exam room, I sat her in my lap and told her I needed to tell her something about our visit to the doctor. She looked at me and very matter-of-factly said, "What, I'm getting a shot?" and that was essentially the end of it. Wait, where is the screaming and crying I am braced for? We talked briefly about how things would take place but she never said anything else about it. When the moment actually arrived she was amazing. She sat still as a statue and "blew out her candles" as she received 5 shots in her arms. Not a tear was shed. Not a whimper was heard. I only noticed one small grimace. We had far more drama tonight when we went to remove the 5 bandaids on her arms!</div><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5303994344658310802" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 249px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 338px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbFuEn6BqhnlG4OOPXvmqpQPo5DR_wLw1M4apT0XPIiHKd1PKFuAuOJc2y6OZZNbF1vMyHOVTC1SKcEHu_uM5-uw0CICTcB8ViM2YQMpS3Jjpz6LdQIil8ANbBEyA12UCRD8T30p5Jxkg/s320/February+2009+002.jpg" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5303993804097738034" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 252px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 325px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNMxlw7STGxEa9HP0x_mrQGA3wXzClGlMr2a7FunAJLMqkEH4Raw6jbzn2kyIp7qrFxH3FP90AOtSBCekpZqBIzAtRl-9CqwJX0HZg-JDQffo5bmnsZgEkxYfrzzwmoUdTlBt3wWGKws0/s320/February+2009+003.jpg" border="0" /> <p align="center">We are ready for school now!</p><p align="center"> We never made it to Wal-mart. Natalie was in a trio that had their own part in the song. She was so excited about it and practiced very hard for it. She even had a surprise visit from Paw-paw and Nana for the occassion. I definitely see showchoir or something along those lines in her future since she is always singing and choreographing something. She jumps for a chance in front of a mic any chance she gets. The dominant voice you hear in her trio is not hers - sorry. She is wearing the red shirt.</p><p align="center"><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dxUTMvxlrkVgDyrWgQDw-bfDMfz7tcXuJ7HcuQH-LSqDQ-HqZpYfygMkzgeP-mmcbtBHAudWU1wEpjTqBkosw' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe></p>The Jadzinski'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06776894225898248643noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-640450277364209194.post-75298353870511866662009-02-15T13:15:00.003-06:002009-02-15T14:02:11.389-06:00Table for Two<div align="center"><br /></div><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg825_YvTsUisaAiDONir0JVOscSfQxlIXD-h1Rzn1rQ1tGGQJQlJ0KvpJqt9UAUw5K-iQPLB77nsemyCol5fV7tCANZj16Joqt2c5v-YFEEqoxNY2ruknLrpAmOggnCnADy1P8JtGrKrI/s1600-h/Frankie+&+Aly+-+valentines+banquet.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5303108738763072690" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 272px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg825_YvTsUisaAiDONir0JVOscSfQxlIXD-h1Rzn1rQ1tGGQJQlJ0KvpJqt9UAUw5K-iQPLB77nsemyCol5fV7tCANZj16Joqt2c5v-YFEEqoxNY2ruknLrpAmOggnCnADy1P8JtGrKrI/s400/Frankie+%26+Aly+-+valentines+banquet.jpg" border="0" /></a><br />Friday night the GA's at our church 'hosted' a Valentines banquet for the A.W.E. group (Adults with experience/55+) and their families that also served as a 'fundraiser' for the Annie Armstrong Easter offering. It was really a neat experience. The girls and mothers got together Thursday night to decorate their tables and get things organized. Friday night they all looked so cute in their waitress type outfits and Valentines aprons as they waited tables and took orders (moms were scattered around supervising and in the kitchen fixing plates). As the the girls families arrived, they were allowed to serve them, then with their mother, join them for the meal. When Frankie and Alyson arrived, we proceeded with the above plan. Natalie was taking their order when I came out and asked if I could join them for supper. Alyson was quick to tell me that this was hers and Frankie's date (that <em>is </em>what I told her was going to happen and I guess I should have taken the hint when there were only 2 chairs at the table). Needless to say, Frankie and Aly enjoyed their date night. After seeing the two of them there, I wouldn't have changed a thing. <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5303108747209160754" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 272px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOs_o2eU8PbtqRZqGUURsrMY0mcS5FYOSNerewvpfQdMnAJdgXQNs6LdavGnnTvY9HybU8qn-bZdLPNvlGsOF_sPGuRZFjZcRpMglcWFkx_gqo24GLbLxyLhKVdEUg1RIavETCQag7XeE/s400/GA+girls+-+Valentines+banquet.jpg" border="0" /><span style="font-size:85%;"><em>Savannah, Kellye, Emma, Autumn, Natalie</em></span><br /><span style="font-size:85%;"><em>Cortney, Erin, Lexie</em></span><br /><br />Natalie had as much fun waiting on them as they had on the date. Fortunately, much less graphic than the last post.</div><div align="center"></div><div align="center">I wish I could tell you that the drama ended with Kerri's accident and ER trip, but it didn't. Friday night was a little difficult as Kerri obviously didn't feel very well, but the twins had a difficult time settling in as well. Saturday dawned cold, rainy and yucky! Natalie attended a dance clinic at her school Saturday morning. She even had her hands autographed by "Danny" and "Sandy" which she insisted I take a picture of before she washed them off. She really enjoyed her morning. <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5295427211434529426" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjx7i2tGbMsX2dnGkfIANqNuriVzrv3KlP8IX1NA5uv19BVpPswHxraBiI9k8oEchnYgWeIyEgq-lJa2BOOMrQSPOxGU1XTJIJdB0eOry2Z4h7WlkKf-t300FIU7J2yiBTlc9VtTUYdybU/s400/January+2009+025.jpg" border="0" />While she was gone, the rest of us just hung out at the house and did your typical Saturday morning stuff. That is when the drama kicked up again. Hailey was having a meltdown so Kerri put her in Natalie's room to "regroup" and closed the door. I am sure you can figure out what happened next - she locked herself in the room. We thought, no big deal - just stick something in the little hole and release the lock. If only it were that easy. We tried everything to no avail. We even tried getting to the window, via ladder - in the rain, but of course that wasn't successful either. Frankie was out of town with a dead cell phone so we called my dad and Travis (Kerri's husband) for advice. Nothing they suggested worked either. Finally I broke down and called the contractor who built our house to see if he knew how to get them open. Jackpot! It wasn't a push button release - you have to have a small (precision) screwdriver and actually turn something inside the doorknob. Fortunately, Hailey was basically clueless about what was happening. She was just mad because she was being punished! Not long after that, they were working on cleaning up the TinkerToys in the living room when Harrison lost his balance and fell - with a stick in his mouth. More blood. Fortunately, this was very minor and had only scraped the roof of his mouth. Enough already. I can say that the remainder of the day Saturday was relatively quiet (injury wise) as has been today. I took another picture of Kerri this afternoon so you can see her progress ;). <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5295427222268655106" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjh7C-84IagCcO9jlIvnGMRSk2OuKySJlr3VMARWIQicayJtsV3xjclmzVPFONHzGNwvReSC-0cxdJAuA3WGM7LGC53wT_lfeSmM2RMt8xZomLN02yl9pVnmwhLuiBJ-z56WTePcAZBgew/s400/January+2009+026.jpg" border="0" />Surprisingly, the swelling has been minimal and unless you knew better, you probably wouldn't notice it. Some bruising is starting to appear on her eyelids (you really can't see it in this picture since she has make up on) and that will probably worsen as the days pass. </div><div align="center"></div><div align="center">We are looking forward to a good day tomorrow - thinking positive! Suzan and Gracie are planning to come for a visit so we can't wait. We promised them there wouldn't be any drama! Keep your fingers crossed.</div>The Jadzinski'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06776894225898248643noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-640450277364209194.post-48505568757754077762009-01-23T21:28:00.003-06:002009-01-23T22:35:55.713-06:00WHAM!<div align="center"> <strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">WARNING - This post is not for the faint of heart, seriously!</span></strong></div><div align="center"><div><br /><div>I told you in my last post that Kerri and the twins were coming to visit and I was sure the I would have some stories to share. Now you know I never tell a lie!</div><div> </div><div>Today has been beautiful! The temps finally warmed up some and the sun was shining. The day started with Natalie participating in the spelling bee at her school. She didn't win but she made it to the 4th round before being eliminated. We are very proud of her. After she got home from school we decided to take advantage of the beautiful afternoon and strong breeze and fly some kites in the back yard. <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5294698961850243570" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9BPCgSccUKHksn1SjK-T4g0eWli4-KODgtUEdMSh62LpzAsHRxWa-LbxVH_ewp8OFA4fRTqTzu9OCvfHjjm0ojHmtlQc3tZZmoV3RkMVKme2W6L1Y_nYeqtZr6i16z3eTG6mFlHMGN7o/s400/January+2009+008.jpg" border="0" /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5294698967580539410" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2EpGlfxvH_IQ8fTVcrs3SlZ1KheuTbSIOXnAB8cjOqlAAp7SlewU8KZ0UlGez84xYAA8OptHLJU-1HGp0GxxHNAM9EHUy2bJr1VKng44YFhKBzwgBjRFs36GowZH95w3xD2R52PXGshI/s400/January+2009+010.jpg" border="0" />That is where we were when Kerri and the twins arrived. They joined us in our venture and we were all enjoying the time outside. As these things usually go, the kids lost interest and went off to play elsewhere. Kerri and I took advantage of everyone else being otherwise occupied and relived our childhood for a moment. The wind started whipping around a little and we were worried that the kites might get tangled (and I was trying to take a picture at the same time). Kerri started moving away from me to avoid a mess with the kites and the next thing I knew Kerri was screaming for help. I turned to find Kerri face down in the dirt with blood literally pouring from her mouth and nose. She had tripped over this stake on our property line (no, she didn't bend it).<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5294698975981812226" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpef6WS4hfFr-J3Hi1ngjQjlA021GVKkWV7ExVVWV0Nw02NwzW3x4dHEmu5WqcrhxX4oEgVEJp1bRHzkzfynv4_j5lgPfRbUGlps7heHbecmcb_JXVUW06PYqilcQIzjyJOEsmZ7zqQPU/s400/January+2009+014.jpg" border="0" />We had no clue what the injuries were at that point but we knew we had a mess, 5 onlookers under the age of 10 (a friend was here), and no clue as to how we were going to handle this. I started screaming instructions to a very overwhelmed Natalie and Alyson up the hill (and I must brag on them tremendously - they did fantastic - kept their cool and followed instructions to the letter, until the dust settled). About that time a neighbor (and an angel) showed up. She was on her way home from the school and saw us out back and stopped to make sure we were OK - THANK YOU Deirdre, Amellia and Abby! They were absolute lifesavers at that point. Deirdre helped me with Kerri while her girls corralled and took care of the kids. Next, another neighbor was out riding around on their golf cart and stopped to check on us. Jeff was Kerri's escort back to the house via the golf cart. <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5294698973065600002" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtqBxu9vdaKjaSgAwM0GoQ0cWD-L8i6Ia1uvgDIZbEXfrrCLIUvHbQ0RFg0BmIr8r8B23DWauowENhK0Sc-T9RqzbFhZVsz9uM32p7qP4oUyewp_Q0j3Frwrzs4ADlFbTXdFUFAIapz0k/s400/January+2009+013.jpg" border="0" />(She looks very good here)</div><div>We cleaned Kerri up and tried to decide what the next step should be. We were pretty sure her nose was broken since it took the impact of the fall but also knew that there was very little that could be done since it didn't appear to be out of alignment. There was a small cut on the side of her nose but it wasn't as deep as we initially thought and the majority of the bleeding had subsided. Our primary reason for seeking medical attention was to get her a tetanus shot. So, off to the ER we go - leaving Deirdre, Amellia and Abby with all 4 of our kids (all a little shaken up)! Bless them!! The assessment there pretty much agreed with what we suspected - the tip had broken on the bone (will have to be evaluated by Kerri's local ENT after the swelling subsides), the bleeding had stopped and the cut only needed a butterfly type bandage. She received her tetanus shot and we were on our way. I must brag on the ER at Anderson's Medical Center on their kindess and efficiency. We were in and out in approximately an hour.</div><div> </div><div>Finally, we are back at home. We got a quick supper and at this point have all but one child asleep. Kerri has taken her pain pill and is about ready to bed down herself. <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5294698984498416466" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2Tn0dlfpConDdl-536A9bj5g_AXBH8Z86nyyYo4JBNTHNvgERHaIHvKFbW95C_fZLEH76DkGHpAgXgpo7rpoYLBImnFdptgOHY9P2ElDIkpsULUCD-S8-7Qr0kKliOkyW_DbO0pF7ORs/s400/January+2009+018.jpg" border="0" />Hopefully tomorrow will be a little less eventful.</div><div>Stay tuned for follow up pictures.</div></div><br /></div>The Jadzinski'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06776894225898248643noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-640450277364209194.post-31727315674298751632009-01-20T20:57:00.002-06:002009-01-20T21:28:14.431-06:00Good Sports<div align="center">Saturday afternoon we enjoyed a visit from Mimi and Pops during which the girls performed a concert consisting of their favorite Taylor Swift songs and their favorite selections from Grease (No, we have not let them see the movie. We recently went to the school version of the movie/play performed by Natalie's school and their addictive personalities took it from there). After the concert, Pops and Daddy sat quietly (while I am sure biting their tongues) as the girls "dressed" them up. We couldn't resist getting a couple of pictures.</div><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWyFFjXdNRhNw9HLFbaY8pHW4h3ngZbSgoBKLEBw1UGSfMM-If0VwIZcQdhDZQzHEq0N5D0gfJaR17MbedJ1J6MuMbFaQmFghfd07ymLX9BNxEi7QA5SrDEIhftobN1f5RtAOKDf1ThOA/s1600-h/January+2009+002.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5293577081537516370" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWyFFjXdNRhNw9HLFbaY8pHW4h3ngZbSgoBKLEBw1UGSfMM-If0VwIZcQdhDZQzHEq0N5D0gfJaR17MbedJ1J6MuMbFaQmFghfd07ymLX9BNxEi7QA5SrDEIhftobN1f5RtAOKDf1ThOA/s400/January+2009+002.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlUxZJM2Gd1zi8Diz2dT0aK8zPBF0I6-Wkr7nH3OZjuPMvOPk_0vuYuQ6XNX6saPdNMEjB56lTTiwczAYKPN4Zi7PIgHjw98HmYesjF9EcXSoJBmHvFiThZ7Xy98xuXpyL1EyHhsDgnBQ/s1600-h/January+2009+001.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5293577074698819234" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlUxZJM2Gd1zi8Diz2dT0aK8zPBF0I6-Wkr7nH3OZjuPMvOPk_0vuYuQ6XNX6saPdNMEjB56lTTiwczAYKPN4Zi7PIgHjw98HmYesjF9EcXSoJBmHvFiThZ7Xy98xuXpyL1EyHhsDgnBQ/s400/January+2009+001.jpg" border="0" /></a> After they shed the wigs, we regrouped (gave a little pep talk) and met Kim and Tom at the hibachi grill for supper (see Hibachi Hysterics post if you are not familiar with this story). Natalie was OK with the decision but Alyson took a little more convincing. When we arrived at the restaurant, she still wasn't crazy about the idea, but at least she was cooperative. She did move her chair directly behind mine at the grill and stayed there the entire time, but she remained calm and would take a peek at the show occassionally.<br /><div> </div><div>Other than the obvious with all the inaguration events and coverage, our week has started off pretty quiet and uneventful, just cold. Natalie was out of school yesterday so it was back to the grind today. We are looking forward to a visit from Kerri, Hailey and Harrison later in the week. I am sure I will have some stories to tell during and after their visit. Hopefully, I won't take so long to post next time.</div></div>The Jadzinski'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06776894225898248643noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-640450277364209194.post-7518744826072010492009-01-08T20:45:00.004-06:002009-01-08T21:47:48.375-06:00Taylor Swift OVERLOAD<p align="center">A very good friend, who shall remain nameless but knows who she is, has introduced my children to Taylor Swift (musician). Now anyone who knows my girls knows they have a somewhat addictive personality and when they find something they like, especially when introduced by someone they like-they are stuck to it like glue.
